The penultimate race on Wednesday often provides some great entertainment with plenty of starters in contention and this year should be no exception. To highlight the unpredictable nature of this race, you only have to look at the last seven renewals in which six winners have been priced at 25/1 or higher. So where should you look this year?
Lethal Steps has solid support and is currently priced at 10/1. His yard has a good record here and it is hoped a switch to headgear can prompt a more focused performance from the Gordon Elliott-trained four-year-old.
Band of Outlaws impressed on the flat and has shown great promise over hurdles. Last time out, he won with plenty to spare at Naas and his yard have high hopes. As a result, he has raced to the top of the betting with a best price of 5/1 available.
Those looking for this year`s long shot might consider Prabeni. He landed a third place on his debut and followed that up with two impressive runs. This is a whole different challenge, but he has plenty of potential to progress. With prices as high as 40/1 available, we love the each-way potential of this one.
