The final day of the 2019 Cheltenham Festival kicks off with the ever-popular JCB Triumph Hurdle. This 2m 1f Grade One race is restricted to four-year-olds and is the premier race of the season for horses in this category. Previous winners such as Clair Soleil, Persian War, Kribensis and Katchit have all gone on to Champion Hurdle glory while 2014 winner Tiger Roll is a double Grand National winner having triumphed in 2018 and 2019.
This promises to be a spectacular race with the likes of Goshen, Allmankind and Aspire Tower all bursting with quality and pace. The first of those, trained by Gary Moore, was totally dominant in his last three flat races, with no horse getting within 11 lengths of him. He has been equally impressive since switching to jumps and could be unbeatable if he brings that form here. There is a feeling that any horse that beats Goshen will win the race. He likes to run from the front so dont be surprised to see him leading from start to finish.
Allmankind has also taken well to the jumps and has the added advantage of a course win under his belt. In his latest outing, he pulled away from a decent field in a Grade One race at Chepstow. He will be the most likely challenger to Goshen.
