Premier League preview and odds: Chelsea vs Manchester City
April 16 , 2016 17:30pm - Stamford Bridge
Premier League
Chelsea will continue their push for a top-ten finish in the Premier League when they welcome Champions League semi-finalists Manchester City to Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
Blues still in recovery mode
After finally breaking back in the Premier League`s top 10, Chelsea can now set their sights on finishing as high up the table as possible. Their recovery suffered a slight setback last week when they were beaten 1-0 away to Swansea City - their first league defeat since Guus Hiddink`s return.
On home soil, the Blues are unbeaten in eight league games, having won two and drawn six. They have conceded at least one goal in their last nine games at Stamford Bridge and both teams have scored in their last eight at home.
City on high after Euro triumph
Manchester City will be on a high after booking their place in the last four of the UEFA Champions League. However, they still need to consolidate their place in the top four of the Premier League.
Their away form has been patchy but has improved in recent weeks with just one defeat in their last six (at Liverpool). On their last road trip, they cruised to a 4-0 win at Bournemouth and they followed that up with a 2-1 home win against West Brom. Their recent improvement has coincided with the welcome return from injury of Belgian midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.
Team news
The home side will be without the injured quartet of Loic Remy, John Terry, Willian and Kurt Zouma.
Meanwhile, the visitors will continue without the services of Raheem Sterling.
