Premier League preview and odds: Manchester United vs Aston Villa
April 16 , 2016 15:00pm - Old Trafford
Premier League
Manchester United will continue their chase for Champions League football on Saturday when they welcome a doomed Aston Villa side to Old Trafford in the Barclays Premier League.
United slipping behind in race for fourth
With just six games left to play, Manchester United are four points adrift of rivals Manchester City in the race for fourth place in the Premier League. A top-four finish would have been the minimum target for the Red Devils at the start of the season, but their fate now sits in the hands of their rivals from the blue half of the city.
As well as chasing fourth place, Louis van Gaal`s men will also have to keep one eye over their shoulder as a group of teams including West Ham, Liverpool and Southampton continue their own quests for a top-five finish,
The Manchester side were beaten 3-0 away to Tottenham Hotspur last time out but have won their last four home games in a row.
Villa heading to the Championship
Having fallen 15 points adrift of safety with just five games left to play, Aston Villa are already preparing for life in English football`s second tier. The Midlands club come in to this game on the back of eight straight league defeats during which time they have scored just three goals.
Away from home, the Villains have not won a game since the opening day of the season, having lost 12 and drawn three games since. In addition, they have conceded at least one goal in 14 of their last 15 away games.
Team news
The home side have a few injury issues with Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Adnan Januzai, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Will Keane and Luke Shaw all out of action.
Meanwhile, Villa will have to make do without the services of Jordan Amavi.
