Premier League preview and odds: Watford vs Sunderland
May 15 , 2016 15:00pm - Vicarage Road Stadium
Premier League
Watford will play their last game under boss Quique Sanchez Flores this weekend when they welcome Premier League survivalists Sunderland to Vicarage Road.
Watford opt for new direction
Despite achieving his objective of keeping Watford in the Premier League, Spanish boss Quique Sanchez Flores will not be in charge of the club next season. A difference in opinion between the coach and the board has led to a mutual parting of the ways that will take effect after Sunday`s game.
Before a ball had been kicked, the Hornets were many people`s favourites for the drop but despite a poor second half to the season, they were never involved in the relegation equation.
The Hertfordshire club have lost seven of their last 10 games including their last two in a row. On home soil, they are unbeaten in two having drawn 1-1 against Everton before beating Aston Villa 3-2 last time out.
Sunderland survive again
Sunderland secured their top-flight status with a 3-0 win at home to hapless Everton on Wednesday night, extending their unbeaten run to five games.
The Black Cats have lost just one of their last 10 games in the league and come into this game on the back of consecutive wins at home to Chelsea and Everton. Away from home, they are unbeaten in four having won one and drawn three, with all three of those draws ending 1-1.
Team news
Watford will be without Valon Behrami and Etienne Capoue who are both injured.
Meanwhile, Billy Jones is set to miss out for Sunderland.
