League One preview and odds: Swindon Town vs. Scunthorpe United
November 14, 2015 15:00pm - County Road
League One
League One strugglers Swindon Town face another stiff test on Saturday as in-form Scunthorpe United head south hoping to snatch all three points from the County Ground.
Dark clouds over Swindon Town
Swindon Town have not won a football match in any competition since 5 September. In that time they have played 12 matches with a record of W0 D2 L10. In the league alone they are winless in 10 having lost eight and drawn two. As a result of their dreadful form, they now sit second from bottom in the league with just goal difference keeping them above Crewe Alexandra. In their latest game they fell 3-1 to Rochdale in the first round of the FA Cup.
The Robins most positive result in recent weeks was a 2-2 draw against promotion candidates Coventry City. However, that was the only glimmer of light for the clubs suffering supporters since they started the season with a four-game unbeaten run.
Scunny on the run
Scunthorpe started the season in poor form, winning just two of their first ten games. However, they have pulled themselves out a hole by winning five of their last six games in League One. They made it six wins in seven in all competitions when they dumped league rivals Southend out of the FA Cup last week.
They have scored in all but one of their away games this season but have only won twice on the road. However, both of those victories came in the last three games. Their only defeat since the beginning of October came away to title hopefuls Gillingham.
Team news
Swindon could welcome back striker Wes Thomas who has been missing for several weeks with a hamstring problem, while Ben Gladwin could also return after missing the FA Cup game at Rochdale due to ineligibility.

Paddy Madden is in good goal scoring form and is well on target to surpass last yearÂ’s total of 14 league goals in 46 appearances. So far, he has found the net nine times in just 16 starts and can be backed at 23/10 with William Hill to find the net anytime.
