Ultima Handicap Chase Preview
March 15, 2016 14:50pm - Cheltenham
Cheltenham Festival
The progressive novice Out Sam, trained by Warren Greatrex, has been confirmed for the Grade 3 Ultima Handicap Chase after also being considered for the Close Brothers Novices Handicap Chase.
This exciting horse will jostle with Holywell for the position of favourite before the race commences on Tuesday.
Holywell is perhaps being overrated having won the race two years ago, and will need conditions to be just right to compete again this time out. He was pulled up last time out and could be using this race as a tester ahead of his Grand National entry.
Kruzhlinin had a decent win last time out and the Peter Hobbs-trained horse could also be in the mix for this one.
Betting odds and tips
The three horse mentioned could start the race level in the betting market, but of those choices it is Out Sam who looks like the most exciting prospect.
You can back Out Sam to win at 7/1 with Bet365.
Remember, Bet365 are offering guaranteed best odds on all Cheltenham races and a 100% deposit bonus up to £200 for new accounts.
