Eibar will go in search of their first league win in eight matches when they welcome a Real Sociedad side who have lost just three of their last 11 to Estadio Municipal de Ipurua on Saturday.

Eibar sinking into bottom half

Thanks to their strong start to the season, Eibar look set to retain their La Liga status for a third-straight year. However, over the last 12 games, the Basque Country minnows have been in relegation form. Their overall record during that period reads W1 D2 L9 with their only won coming against bottom club Levante.

On home soil, they have lost four of their last five including their last three in a row. In their most recent match, they were well beaten 4-0 away to title contenders Real Madrid.

La Real on the rise

Real Sociedad seem to have recovered from the ill-fated tenure of British Coach David Moyes and now look on course for a top-10 finish in La Liga.

Since arriving in November, Eusebio Sacristan has led the club to nine wins, five draws and seven defeats. As a result, the club has climbed away from the relegation zone into ninth place in the table.

In their most recent match, they secured an impressive 1-0 victory over league leaders Barcelona. Prior to that, they halted Sevilla`s 13-game unbeaten home run with a 2-1 win in Andalucia.

Team news

Josip Radosevic, Ekiza and Jaime will all be missing for the home side. Meanwhile, the visitors have a long list of absentees including Carlos Martinez, Inigo Martinez, Oier, Eneko Capilla, Agirretxe and Sergio Canales.
