La Liga preview and odds: Sevilla vs Deportivo La Coruna
April 17, 2016 18:15pm - Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan
La Liga
Sevilla will be attempting to halt a run of three straight defeats when they host 12th-ranked Deportivo La Coruna at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in La Liga on Sunday.
Sevilla with one eye on Europe
Sevilla have been finding it tough balancing their involvement in the Europa league with their league campaign. As a result, they have fallen out of the automatic qualification places for next year`s round of Euro football.
This weekend, they will try to put the brakes on a run of three straight defeats when they go up against La Liga`s draw specialists.
In their last league game, Sevilla were beaten 2-1 away to Valencia, prior to that, their run of 13-straight home wins was brought to an end by a 2-1 defeat to Real Sociedad.
Deportivo still not safe
Deportivo La Coruna are nine points clear of the relegation zone but are still not mathematically safe. One more win would virtually guarantee their inclusion in next years La Liga campaign.
No team has drawn more matches in Spains top flight this season than the Galicians. So far, they have played out a stalemate in 16 of their 32 games, although they have only drawn two of their last eight.
Team news
Benoit Tremoulinas, Nicolas Pareja, Daniel Carrico and Marco Andreolli make up the list of injured players for Sevilla.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Arribas is suspended for the visitors, who will also have to make do without the injured trio of German Lux, Rober and Fabricio.
