Crystal Palace vs Leicester City - Premier League preview and odds
April 15, 2017 15:00pm - Selhurst Park
Premier League
Two teams with five wins in their last six Premier League matches will go head to head this weekend as escape artists Crystal Palace host reigning champions Leicester City at Selhurst Park.
Palace can leapfrog Leicester City with a win
Just a few weeks ago it would have been inconceivable that Crystal Palace would be just a win away from the comfort of mid-table in the Premier League. But after a run of five wins in six games, and with a game in hand on the teams directly above them, that is exactly where Sam Allardyce`s men find themselves heading into this game.
The Eagles are now six points clear of the drop zone but are just three points away from 10th place in the table. A win on Saturday would lift them above the visiting Champions League quarter-finalists.
Meanwhile, Leicester City will arrive in good spirits after coming away from a trip to Madrid with just a single goal deficit on Wednesday night. While the second leg of that elite European game will now be their priority, they may still need to pick up some points to confirm their Premier League status.
A win this weekend would almost certainly guarantee the Foxes` place in next year`s Premier League roster but with just one win in their last 17 away matches, the odds are stacked against them.
Team news
Scott Dann (knee), James Tomkins (calf strain), Fraizer Campbell (muscular), Patrick van Aanholt (ankle ligament), Loic Remy (muscular), Connor Wickham (knee ligament), Steve Mandanda (knee), Jonathan Benteke (meniscus) and Pape Souare (surgery) are all still out for the home side, who have coped well despite being inundated by injury issues in the last couple of months.
Meanwhile, the visitors will have to make do without the injured trio of Wes Morgan (back), Nampalys Mendy (ankle) and Molla Wague(dislocated shoulder).

Betting odds and tips
Crystal Palace have actually lost 60% of their home matches this term but of course, their form has improved dramatically in the last few weeks. In fact, they come into this game on the back of three straight home wins without conceding a goal.
Leicester City conceded at least one goal in all but one of their away matches and have picked up 83% of their points on home soil. As a result, the home team look like a good bet to bag another win without reply.
