Everton vs Burnley - Premier League preview and odds
April 15, 2017 15:00pm - Goodison Park
Premier League
After a run of seven straight home wins, seventh-ranked Everton will bid to make in eight in row when they host the leagues worst travellers at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
Everton still have outside chance of a European place
Everton`s home form in 2017 has been nothing short of remarkable. Since the painful 0-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby back in December, the Toffees have been unstoppable at Goodison Park. Just look at the stats - they have won seven matches in a row, scoring 26 goals and conceding just five in the process. What`s more, five of those seven matches featured clean sheets.
Last time out, Ronald Koeman`s men eased to a 4-2 win over reigning Premier League champions and European quarter finalists, Leicester City. Prior to that, they grabbed an impressive point away to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Burnley may still be looking for their first away win of the season but their Premier League status looks to be all but secured. Thanks to their impressive home record, Sean Dyche`s men have managed to keep clear of danger despite their dismal away form.
The Clarets played out back-to__back goalless draws on their last two road trips at Sunderland and Middlesbrough but they have struggled away from home against teams higher up in the table. The only point they have taken from a top 16 side came courtesy of a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford back in October.
Team news
Aaron Lennon (muscular), Ramiro Funes Mori (knee), Seamus Coleman (double leg fracture), James McCarthy (hamstring strain), Yannick Bolasie (knee) and Muhamed Besic (knee ligament) are all out of action for the home side.
Meanwhile, the visitors will continue to operate without the services of Dean Marney (ACL) and Kevin Long (knee surgery), while Steven Defour (dead leg) and Johann Gudmundsson (knee) are doubtful.

Betting odds and tips
Everton have scored at least one goal in each of their last seven matches and in all but one of their home encounters. They have won their last seven consecutive home matches.
Burnley have earned just three points on the road all season and have yet to claim a win away from home. As a result, the home side should expect to win without reply on Saturday.
