West Ham United vs Liverpool - Premier League preview and odds
May 14, 2017 14:15pm - London Stadium
Premier League
West Ham United will continue their quest for a top-10 finish when they welcome top four hopefuls Liverpool to the London Stadium on Sunday. The visitors themselves can guarantee Champions League football by winning their last two games.
Hammers out to scupper Reds top four ambitions
After wrecking Spurs` title dream last week, West Ham United could now upset Liverpool`s Champions League plans with a win on home soil. The Londoners are unbeaten in their last five matches having won two and drawn three and have not conceded a goal in their last three home encounters.
Slaven Bilic`s men have been somewhat unpredictable this term, the win against Spurs bucking their trend of poor results against the top-six teams. They will hope to repeat that feat this weekend with a place in the Premier Leagues top 10 beckoning.
Meanwhile, Liverpool know that two wins from their last two games will secure them a place in UEFA`s elite competition next term. The Reds have endured some frustrating road trips this season with defeats and Burnley, Bournemouth and Hull being particularly painful experiences. However, they have won their last three away matches in a row at Stoke City West Bromwich Albion and Watford.
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that his side can regain the scoring touch after drawing a blank at home to Southampton last time out. That game was notable for James Milner`s first penalty miss for the club although credit should go to Saints` keeper Fraser Forster for the save.

Betting odds and tips
Both sides have injury issues although the absence of Sadio Mane for the visitors is perhaps the most significant. However, the Reds can still be expected to pose a serious attacking threat in this game. But in typical Liverpool fashion, they can also be expected to make things difficult for themselves by conceding at least once.
