Newcastle United will be out to end a five-game winless run on Saturday when they welcome a West Ham side that are unbeaten in eight to St James` Park in the Barclays Premier League.
Newcastle sink beneath rivals
A run of five games without a Premier League rivals has seen Newcastle slip below arch rivals Sunderland to 19th place in the table. On the Brightside, the northeast side broke a run of three straight defeats by holding Manchester United to a 3-3 draw in their last league fixture.
Steve McClaren`s men have only won twice on home soil since the start of the season with their last win coming against Liverpool (2-0) at the beginning of December.
Hammers chasing top four
After enduring a spell in which many of their key players were injured, West Ham have maintained the pace in the hunt for a top four finish. They come into this game on the back of three straight wins and have remained unbeaten in their last eight league fixtures.
In their last game, they won 3-1 away to plucky newcomers Bournemouth and prior to that, they brushed aside Jurgen Klopp`s Liverpool by two goals to nil.

Newcastle are top of the injury tree with Florian Thauvin, Vurnon Anita, Papiss Cisse, Paul Dummett, Emmanuel Riviere and Curtis Good all out of action.
Meanwhile, West Ham`s injury issues have eased somewhat, but they will still be without Andy Carroll, Cheikhou Houyate and Joey O`Brien.
