Stoke City will try to keep their European qualification hopes on track when they welcome league leaders Arsenal to the Britannia Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Stoke looking to gate crash top four

Stoke are loitering with intent just outside of the European qualification party, and could put one foot inside the door with a win over pace-setters Arsenal on Sunday. Mark Hughes` men have won four of their last five home matches, and now sit just three points adrift of fifth-ranked West Ham United.

In their last game, they ran out comfortable 3-1 winners on home soil against Premier League newcomers Norwich City.

Arsenal keen to maintain advantage

With just goal difference separating Arsenal and second-ranked Leicester City, and with Man City only three points further back, the Gunners could be sitting in second or even third place by the time this game kicks off on Sunday afternoon.

Wenger`s men come into this game on the back of an exhilarating 3-3 draw away to Liverpool, and will be searching for their first away win in three games having previously lost to Southampton on the road. In fact, the Gunners` only away win since October came at bottom club Aston Villa.

Team news

Stoke are hoping that one or more of Geoff Cameron, Marco Muniesa and Stephen Ireland can recover in time for this clash, however, Jon Walters and Ryan Shawcross will both miss out.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will have to cope without Jack Wilshere, who is suffering from a lower leg problem.
