Champions League preview and odds: Manchester City vs Dynamo Kiev

Manchester City already have one foot in the Champions League quarter-finals, and will be looking to finish the job when they welcome Dynamo Kyiv to the Etihad on Tuesday night.

City in driving seat

Manchester City will kick off their Champions League Round of 16 second leg match with a 3-1 advantage over their Ukrainian opponents.

Manuel Pellgrini`s men may be lagging behind in the race for the Premier League but they are on course for their best ever season in Europe`s elite competition.

In their last match, they were held to 0-0 draw at Norwich City in the league and prior to that they cruised to a 4-0 victory over bottom club Aston Villa. In this competition they have won two of their three home games so far, with their only defeat being the 1-2 reverse against Italian champions Juventus.

Mammoth task for Kyiv

Dynamo Kyiv`s Champions League journey will almost certainly be over unless they can pull off a shock result on Tuesday night. The Ukrainians will have to overcome a two goal deficit and at least equal Manchester City`s away goal tally if they are to progress to the quarter-final stage.

They may gain some encouragement by the fact that they won two of their three away matches in the Group stage of the competition. However, their one and only defeat came on English soil at the hands of Chelsea (2-1).

Team news

The home side will be without the injured trio of Fabian Delph, Kevin de Bruyne and Samir Nasri.

Meanwhile, Denys Garmash, Mykola Morozyuk and Olexandr Rybka will be missing for the visitors.
