Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Preview
March 16, 2016 16:50pm - Cheltenham
Cheltenham Festival
The Fred Winter Handicap Juvenile Novices Handicap is a race for four year olds and novice national hunt jumpers, run over two miles and 110 yards. As a result, favourites can be somewhat unreliable in this race.
Having said that, eagle-eyed punters can often identify the up and coming racers in this bracket and find good value in the betting market.
The early murmurs have centred on French gelding Diego Du Charmil, who has placed in his first three outings. Now under Paul Nicholls, he also has an owner who knows what it takes to win this race, having triumphed last year.
Another one to have caught the attention is the Gordon Elliott-trained Campeador. He is developing nicely and might offer the best value at around 9/1.
Betting odds and tips
Campeador seems about ready to step-up and could further his cause with a win here.
He could also be worth an Each-Way bet if you can bag a price of 9/1 or more.
Remember, Bet365 are offering guaranteed best odds on all Cheltenham races and a 100% deposit bonus up to £200 for new accounts.
