Weatherbys Champion Bumper Preview
March 16, 2016 17:30pm - Cheltenham
Cheltenham Festival
The celebrity-owned (Ant & Dec, Alan Shearer & others) mare Augusta Kate was not originally due to race at the Festival, but trainer Willie Mullins decided to make the switch from Sandown to Cheltenham after assessing the five-year-old.
Mullins has had plenty of success in this race and certainly feels that the daughter of the Yeats and Grade One-winner Feathard Lady is up to the task. She has triumphed in both her previous starts and Mullins has admitted that she has been hard to evaluate as she shows better on the track.
Of the others, Ballyandy is going well for Nigel Twiston-Davies and already has a Cheltenham win to his name. However, the best value bet at current prices is New To This Town. The Jessica Harrington-trained five-year-old stormed to victory in his first two races and could be available at double-figure prices if you are quick.
