Irish horses have won the last two renewals of this race and they are well represented once again with the Elizabeth Doyle-trained challenger Last Goodbye. After a fifth place her 12 months, he was not really fancied until a run out at Leopardstown in February showed some serious progression. However, it is King`s Socks who will head out as favourite after impressing on his debut at Kempton Park and performing well since. Despite this, Last Goodbye still looks like the value pick with 9/1 available at time of writing.

Also in contention is the Gordon Elliott-trained The Storyteller. He is still a little green around the gills but could benefit from the move to handicapping. And of course, he has a strong stable behind him.
Ballyalton has won at the festival before having claimed the Close Brothers Chase in 2016 but was out injured for well over a year after that. He seems to have returned in good shape and came in fourth behind Guitar Pete in December. The 11-year-old is certainly worth a look in the each-way market.
