The Conditional Jockey`s Handicap Hurdle should bring the 2019 Cheltenham Festival to a close in fine style. This is another race in which the Irish trainers have fared well in recent years.
The Gordon Elliott-trained Dallas Des Pictons is the early favourite at 3/1 as the trainer aims for a third-straight triumph in this race. The six-year-old has been progressing well, but is racing from 10lb higher. Also the drop back in trip from his latest effort over three miles raises another question mark. As a result, the price looks a little short.
Coolanly is an interesting prospect having won the two mile five furlong Ballymore Trial here in November. He has had two steady runs since including a fifth place in a Grade 1 at Newbury. He failed to justify his odds-on status last time out when finishing a close second at Wetherby, but it felt like he was cruising a little there. With odds of around 30/1 available, he cannot be ignored in the each-way market.
Jonjo O`Neill jnr has hopes on Early Doors. This six-year-old has picked up some Grade 1 experience, but should be right back at his level here. He finished third last year and is only rated 3lb higher this time round. An intersting option at 9/2.
