Tournament favourites Borussia Dortmund will battle it out with former champions Porto for a place in the last 16 of the Europa League.

Dortmund clear favourites

Despite the presence of such European giants such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Porto and Sevilla in the last 32, Borussia Dortmund are still the bookies favourites to win this competition.

The Germans have never won this tournament but they have been runners-up on two occasions (199293, 200102), and have previously won the Champions League (199697). They came through the qualifying section of this years event, and then won three of their six games in Group C. Thomas Tuchel`s men lost their last two group stage games by a 1-0 score-line but had already amassed 10 points by that point - enough to secure their safe passage into the Round of 32.

Porto looking for response after Champions League exit

Porto looked all set for a place in the last 16 on the Champions League until back-to-back defeats in their final two Group G games left them stranded in third place, just three points behind group winners Chelsea. The elimination ultimately led to the dismissal of Coach Julen Lopetegui.

The two-time former champions will now set their sights on a third crown under newly-appointed boss José Peseiro. The Portuguese clubs overall record against German opposition stands at W12 D7 L10. They come into this game on the back of a morale-boosting 2-1 win away to rivals Benfica.
