Brown Advisory & Merriebelle Stable Plate Preview
March 17, 2016 16:10pm - Cheltenham
Cheltenham Festival
This race may appeal to those who keep a keen eye on the ratings and can spot a likely good performer from what appears to be an even field.
Johns Spirit is one such horse and the money has already started to roll in on the Jonjo O`Neill-trained favourite. However, despite the drop in mark, he may still find it tough going in this line-up.
Stilletto is also appealing based on his recent form and is still progressing nicely off a fairly low mark. The seven-year-old should be available at double figures in the betting market.
Another pick that could offer real value is Salubrious. This race should suit the Paul Nicholls-trained nine-year-old who will be riding off a much lower rating following a few tough outings over soft and heavy ground. He last ran off this mark when coming in at 20/1 in the Martin Pipe Conditionals three years ago.
