Champions League preview and odds: Barcelona vs Arsenal (2-0)
March 16, 2016 20:45pm - Camp Nou
Champions League
After grabbing a two-goal cushion in the first leg at the Emirates, Barcelona will now look to finish the job on home soil as they welcome an Arsenal side who have won just one of their last seven matches to the Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
Barca trophy defence on track
Barcelona will continue the defence of their Champions League crown in front of their home crowd on Wednesday night. Having secured a 2-0 lead away from home in the first leg against English side Arsenal. Luis Enrique`s men look on course to progress to the quarter-final stage.
The Catalan team are now unbeaten in 37 games in all competitions and have won their last 11 in a row on home soil. They have scored at least two goals in their last 22 home games and have scored four or more on 12 occasions.
They come into this fixture on the back of a 6-0 win at home to Getafe in La Liga.
Gunners struggling for form
Arsenal have won just one of their last seven matches in all competitions. That win came against Hull City in the FA Cup fifth-round replay - however, they were subsequently knocked out of the competition five days later by Watford.
The Gunners have not won any of their last three Premier League matches, having lost to Manchester United and Swansea and drawn against rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsene Wenger`s men face an uphill struggle in this game and could find themselves on the wrong end of a big score-line if Barca hit their stride.
Team news
The home side will be without experienced defender Gerard Pique who is suspended, while Adriano, Douglas and Rafinha are all injured.
Arsenal will be seriously hampered by injury with Aaron Ramsey, Petr Cech, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky, Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere all injured, while Laurent Koscielny remains doubtful.
