Pertemps Network Final Preview
March 17, 2016 14:10pm - Cheltenham
Cheltenham Festival
Another big field makes this race a tough one to predict. The Charles Byrnes-trained Leave At Dawn has attracted the early money thanks mainly thanks to his winning run here back in November. However, there are plenty of other strong contenders.
Just like Leave at Dawn, the Nicky Henderson-trained Cup Final is owned by JP McManus, and these two could well be in contention in the latter stages. Cup final proved his staying power with a long distance win at Musselburgh last time out.
The Warren Greatrex-trained entry Missed Approach is an interesting choice. In his only appearance since 2014, he romped home at Newbury back in November to secure his place at the festival and has been in preparation ever since. The lack of available form will put some punters off and good prices should be available.
Betting odds and tips
A long distance and a big field can produce a few surprises but Missed Approach stands out as the value horse in the market.
