Foxhunter Chase Preview - Cheltenham Festival
March 16, 2018 16:10pm - Cheltenham
Distance: 3m 2f 70y
Grade: Amateur Chase
Runners: 24
Winner: £26,982
Going: Heavy (soft in places)
If reports are to be believed, Foxrock is close to being back to his best and if that is the case, he looks well-priced at 8/1. A switch of stable and a return to blinkers may have helped a horse that also enjoys running on softer ground. He is certainly a capable contender.
Burning Ambition will wear the favourite`s tag having finished second to the talented stayer Gilgamboa in Punchestown last time out. He won three in a row prior to that on his return from a 200-day break and should arrive here in good shape.
Wonderful Charm finished a narrow second last year and his team have been planning to go one better ever since. He was not seen for over six months before easing to a win in Musselburgh on his return. Should be raring to go for this one and the course and going won`t faze him one bit.
