Champions League: Quarter-final - Second Leg

Juventus will look to keep their Champions League dream alive when they host Ajax in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final match of Tuesday, with the scores level at 1-1.

Cristiano Ronaldo put the Italia side ahead just before half-time in the first leg but Erik Ten Hag`s men responded just after the restart and could have gone on to win the game.

The Old Lady will hope that their record signing can power them to victory as they continue their quest to win the one trophy that has eluded them in recent times. Since last winning the trophy in 1996, they have lost five finals and reached at least the quarter-finals on six other occasions.

With the Serie A title already sewn up, it is no surprise their domestic form has dipped a little with two defeats in their last five as they turn their attention to landing the biggest prize of all.

Ajax were the runners-up the last time Juventus won the Champions League. Since then, they have only reached the semi-final stage once, where they again fell to Juve (1997). However, they did reach the Europa League final in 2017 where they were beaten by English club Manchester United.

Unlike Juventus, the Dutch club are still involved in a battle for their domestic league title. They remain level on points with PSV following a run of four straight wins in which they scored 15 goals while conceding six. Last time out, they cruised to a 6-2 win over Excelsior.
