Euro 2016 preview and odds: Germany vs Poland
Stade de France, Saint-Denis - June 15, 2016
Group stage - Group C
Poland do not have a great record against Germany, having won just one of their last 20 encounters, but they will hoping to buck that trend when the sides go head-to-head at the Stade de France on Thursday.
Poland aiming for rare victory over neighbours
Despite not have a great historic record over Germany, Poland do have a recent victory over their neighbours under their belt, having beaten them 2-0 at home in the qualifying group for this event. That win was their only victory in the last 20 meetings between the two teams.
The Germans are competing in their 12th consecutive Euros and will progress to the knock out stages with a win on Thursday. They have played in five previous finals and have been crowned champions on three occasion - in 1972, 1980 and 1976.
Following their 1-0 win over Northern Ireland, a win on Thursday will also be enough to send for Poland through to the next stage. They will have noted Germany`s slight vulnerability at the back in the match against Ukraine and will be hoping that Robert Lewandowski can exploit that on the night.
Both sides like to attack and their could be plenty of goals on the agenda on Thursday.
Form (all competitions):
Germany: WWLWLLWLWW

Despite Poland`s poor record against their neighbours they come into this game in good shape and are capable of causing an upset. Either way, there could be a few goals in what should be an open game.
