Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Chase Challenge Cup Preview
March 18, 2016 17:30pm - Cheltenham
Cheltenham Festival
Next Sensation is back to defend his title in the final race of the festival. The Michael Scudamore-trained gelding has not shown much since, but likes to lead and could challenge if he avoids any silly mistakes. Despite the question marks, he will be leading off a similar weight to last year and his experience could come into play.
Rock The World was prolific last year and bagged a novice chase at Cheltenham back in the autumn. A lack of appearances since suggests that Jessica Harrington has been preparing for this one for some time. The eight-year-old will also appreciate firmer ground.
Velvet Maker has Grade 1 chase experience and has shown a good turn of pace. He should be in the mix come the run-in but may not have the staying power in the latter stages.
Betting odds and tips
For the final race of the festival, Rock The World will be fresh and raring to go, and should be available at a decent price.
You can back Rock The World at 11/1 with Bet365.
