Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle Preview
March 18, 2016 16:50pm - Cheltenham
Cheltenham Festival
The penultimate race of the festival is the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle, and as usual it features a decent line-up.
Gordon Elliott will be entering the talented Squouateur with Jack Kennedy on board. He has shown well in his five outings so far and is definitely one to watch.
The Paul Nicholls-trained Qualando won the Fred Winter here last year and stands a good chance off his current mark. Harry Cobden will mount him for the second time after leading him to second in Taunton last time out.
Childrens list has run his best races on good ground and the conditions may play into his hands this week. Ruby Walsh led him to a decent second at Leopardstown back in January when he finished just half a length back from Golan Lodge.
