Leicester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion FC - Premier League Preview and Odds
August 19, 2017 15:00pm - King Power Stadium
Premier League
Leicester City will be looking to bounce back from their excruciating 4-3 defeat to Arsenal on the opening day by inflicting defeat on league newcomers Brighton and Hove Albion. The visitors themselves rarely got a look in in their opening day defeat at home to Manchester City and face another stiff challenge here.
For a while last weekend it seemed as if Leicester City were going to achieve something that they failed to do during their league winning campaign - beat Arsenal. Unfortunately, two late goals from the Gunners left the Foxes empty-handed once again. However, Craig Shakespeare`s men were competitive throughout and showed glimpses of the form that led them to the title less than two years ago.
Since the beginning of their glorious campaign in 2015/16, the East Midlands side have not been beaten by a bottom-half side, winning 16 and drawing three such games during that spell.
Meanwhile, Brighton and Hove Albion had a tough start to life back in the top flight, falling 2-0 at home to title favourites Manchester City. Chris Hughton`s men were probably flattered by that result and looked like a side destined for a relegation battle. They will be looking for improvement here.
The Seagulls could struggle for goals this season, particularly on the road. Leicester have shut out 10 of the last bottom-half sides that have visited the King Power Stadium and a similar outcome should be expected here
