Southampton City vs Brighton and Hove Albion - Premier League Preview and Odds
September 17, 2018 20:00pm - St. Mary`s Stadium
Premier League
Southampton look for their first home win of the season when they welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to St. Mary`s on Monday night with only goal difference separating the two. The visitors have yet to pick up a point or score a goal on the road this term.
The Saints` only win of the season so far came at Crystal Palace last time out. Prior to that, their only point came via a 0-0 draw at home to Burnley on the opening day. The 2-0 victory in London restored their goal difference to zero and lifted them to 13th in the table, one place against Monday`s opponents.
Mark Hughes` men have won just one of their last 13 league matches on home soil although they did manage to draw six of those games.
Meanwhile, Brighton will make the short journey along the South Coast on the back of a 2-2 draw at home to Fulham last time out. They remain unbeaten at home in the current campaign but have yet to register a point or find the net away from home.
The Seagulls have scored just once in their last five Premier League away matches and have not won any of their last 15, drawing four and losing nine. They failed to score in 11 of those 15 matches.

Betting odds and tips
Southampton won just four matches at home last season while Brighton won twice away. Both teams have racked up four points this term and with little to separate them, a repeat of last year`s 1-1 draw looks like the choice bet.
You can back the Draw at 23/10 and a Correct Score of 1-1 at 11/2.
