Premier League preview and odds: Everton vs Leicester City
December 19, 2015 15:00pm - Goodison Park
Premier League
Everton are unbeaten in six Premier League games but will be hoping to break their recent drawing habit when they welcome table-toppers Leicester City to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon. Three draws in a row for the Toffees
Everton drew for the third game in a row last week and for the fourth time in their last five matches. Their last defeat came back in October when they went down 2-1 away from home to Arsenal. Despite their six-game unbeaten stretch, they have slipped down to tenth in the table, six points adrift of the top four.
Last time out they were held 1-1 away to struggling Norwich, and prior to that they achieved the same score-line at home to Crystal Palace. Their only win in the last five games came against bottom-of-the-pile Aston Villa.
Leicester are genuine contenders
When Leicester kicked off against Chelsea on Monday night, they knew that only a win would lift them back to top spot in the Premier League. Rather than buckle under the pressure of expectation, the Foxes put in yet another clinical performance to dispose of reigning champions Chelsea.
Once again it was Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez who provided the goals for the East Midlands side to put them two goals up after 48 minutes. Despite a spirited attempt at a comeback by the opposition, Claudio Ranieris men showed some impressive defensive resilience to hold on for the win. It was the sixth win in seven games for the surprise league leaders who have now gone unbeaten in nine matches.
Team news
Everton will be without Tyias Browning, Bryan Oviedo, Phil Jagielka and Tony Hibbert, while James McCarthy remains a doubt.
Meanwhile, Leicester are without the sevices of Jeff Schlupp, Danny Drinkwater, Ritchie De Laet and Matt James.

Betting odds and tips
Leicester are on a roll and showing no signs of feeling the pressure, while Everton are finding it hard to gain the winning edge and have yet to beat a team above them in the league.
The Foxes can be backed to win at 13/5 with Bet365 or the Leicester/Draw Double Chance can be backed at 5/6, also with Bet365.
Riyad Mahrez has already bagged four goals in December and offers the best value in the Anytime Goalscorer market at 11/4 with Bet365.
