Premier League preview and odds: Swansea vs West Ham
December 20, 2015 16:00pm - Liberty Stadium
Premier League
Struggling Swansea will be hoping to a have a new boss confirmed by the time they take on faltering West Ham at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
Swans have Coach in sights
Former Argentina and Athletic Bilbao Coach Marcelo Bielsa is the current favourite to replace Garry Monk in the Swansea dugout, with the club hoping to have an agreement in place by the weekend.
After losing five of their last six games including their last three in a row, the Welsh side are now languishing in 17th place in the table, just a point above the drop zone. The Swans have not won a game on home soil since they beat Manchester United back in August. They come into this game on the back of a 2-1 defeat away to Manchester City.
Four draws in five for Hammers
West Ham may not be struggling to the same extent as Swansea, but a run of four draws in five games has seen them drop down to eight place in the table. The Hammers spent much of the early season keeping Leicester City company in the top four but have since failed to keep pace. Their fortunes have not been helped by a spate of injuries to key players.
Prior to this game, the Irons played out back-to-back goalless draws against Stoke (home) and Manchester United (away). They will be going in search of their first win in six games when they make the trip down the M4 to Wales on Sunday.
Team news
Swansea may have to do without the services of Eder, who is suffering from a foot injury.
Meanwhile, West Ham continue to operate without key men Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini, Diafra Sakho and Dimitri Payet.
