Everton vs Hull City - Premier League preview and odds

March 18, 2017 15:00 pm - Goodison Park

Premier League

Everton will target a sixth-straight home win when poor travellers Hull City make the trip west to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

Top six still an outside possibility for Toffees

Everton have not given hope of a top six finish and will look to maintain the pressure on the teams above them by extending their home winning streak to six games. The Toffees have scored in all but one of their home games this term and have kept four clean sheets in their last five.

In their last five home wins, Ronald Koeman`s men have scored a total of 18 goals and conceded just three. They have not drawn any of their last seven matches at home.

Meanwhile, Hull City will arrive in Liverpool still languishing in the bottom three of the Premier League, a point away from safety but with the worst goal difference in the league.. Last time out, they beat relegations rivals Swansea City 2-1 at home but are without an away win in 13. In fact, they have lost 11 of their last 12, scoring just four goals in the process.

Just under 80% of the Tiger`s points have been gained at the KCOM Stadium and 73% of their goals have also come at home. Away from home, they have made it to halftime with the scoreline at 0-0 on six occasions.

Team news

Everton will operate without James McCarthy (hamstring strain), Yannick Bolasie (knee) and Muhamed Besic (knee ligament), while Leighton Baines (back) remains a doubt.

Meanwhile, the visitor`s injury woes continue with Dieumerci Mbokani Bezua (hamstring strain), Evandro (calf strain), Michael Dawson (calf strain), Ryan Mason (fractured skull), Will Keane (knee), Greg Luer (cartilage), Brian Lenihan (knee) and Moses Odubajo (MPFL) all out of action, while Omar Niasse is unable to face his parent club.

Betting odds and tips

Marco Silva`s men are poor on the road but have managed to make it to halftime on level terms in seven of their away games, with six of those producing a 0-0 scoreline at the break.
