Premier League preview and odds: West Ham United vs Watford
April 20 , 2016 19:45pm - Boleyn Ground
Premier League
West Ham United continue their push for European football when they face mid-table Watford at the Boleyn Ground on Wednesday night.
Four straight draws for the Hammers
West Ham`s hopes of playing in Europe next season have been hindered slightly by a run of four straight draws. As a result, they have fallen three points behind fifth-ranked Manchester United and just two points ahead of Liverpool who have a game in hand.
In their last match, the Hammers were stunned by a stoppage time equaliser after taking the lead at league leaders Leicester City. Om home soil, they have not been beaten since the opening day of the season when they 4-3 to Bournemouth.
Watford staying up
Watford finally broke a six-game winless run with a 1-0 victory away to West Bromwich Albion at the weekend. As a result, the Hornets have risen to 12th in the league table with a total of 41 points. That tally should be enough to secure their place in next seasons Premier League line-up.
Quique Sanchez Flores and his men could be forgiven by being distracted by their upcoming FA Cup semi-final match at Wembley, but a win on Wednesday would ensure that they at go into that match on a high note.
Team news
The Irons will be without Carl Jenkinson, while the visitors will have to make do without Etienne Capoue.
