La Liga preview and odds: Valencia vs Eibar
April 20, 2016 20:45pm - Estadio de Mestalla
La Liga
Valencia will be looking to leapfrog ninth-ranked Eibar and climb into the top half of the table when the two side meet at the Mestalla on Wednesday night.
Valencia in recovery mode
A run of two-straight wins including a 2-1victory over Barcelona has brought some much-needed cheer back to Valencia. The club endured a torrid spell under the guidance of English Coach Gary Neville but now seem to have put that period behind them.
New boss Pac Ayestaran has guided the club to safety with two wins in his three matches in charge. They followed up a narrow defeat against Las Palmas with a 2-1 win at home to Sevilla and victory at the Nou Camp.
Eibar back to winning ways
Eibar finally halted their eight-game winless run with a home victory over Basque neighbours Real Sociedad. As a result, Mendilibars men retained their place in the top half of the league table and virtually guaranteed their place in next year`s top-flight roster.
The Basques have not won any of their last eight away games, having drawn two and lost six. On their last road trip, they were beaten 4-0 in the capital by Real Madrid.
Team news
The home side will continue without Pablo Piatti, Denis Cheryshev and Zakaria Bakkali while Sofiane Feghouli is still out for disciplinary reasons.
Meanwhile, Josip Radosevic and Jaime will be the only absentees for the visiting team.
