Two teams struggling for form in recent weeks will go head to head when Leicester City take Southampton at the King Power Stadium.

Despite their dip in form, the hosts have not lost back-to-back games at home since September, when Chelsea and Liverpool both left with maximum points. Last time out, they were beaten by Burnley in a game that ended their chances of grabbing a surprise Europa League spot. However, the Foxes would have been glad to have even been in the hunt considering the poor start to the season they had, testament to the job Claude Puel has done.

The East Midlands side have only lost three of their last 12 home games and will be hoping to get back to winning ways here after consecutive defeats. Their aim will be to consolidate their position in the table with eighth place the best they can hope to finish. However, both Everton and Newcastle will also have their eyes on that spot.

Things are looking grim for Southampton who have lost their last four games in a row. Their form has not improved since Mark Hughes arrived although they will feel a little unlucky not to have taken something from their last game against Chelsea in which they threw away a two-goal lead to lose 3-2. Stuck in the bottom three with relegation looking likely they will be keen to take something from this game. They are five points drift of safety with time running out. In reality, only a win here will do, although they migh take a point if it was offered.

The Saints have failed to win any of their last seven games, losing five, drawing two and conceding 15 goals in the process. Their last win came against West Brom way back in February. They do have an FA Cup semi-final to look forward to but they would probably sacrifice that for survival. Thei last win at the King Power Stadium came way back in 2007.
