Burnley vs West Ham United - Premier League preview and odds
May 21, 2017 15:00pm - Turf Moor
Premier League
Burnley will look to leapfrog opponents West Ham United in the Premier League table when the two teams meet at Turf Moor on the final day of the season.
Mid-table places still to be decided
Burnley have done just enough to ensure that they will remain in the Premier League for a second-straight season, an improvement on their last venture into the top flight. Having stuck by boss Sean Dyche the club`s owners have been rewarded in the best possible way and can now set about establishing themselves as Premier League regulars.
Much of Burnley`s success has been down to their strong home form where four of their five home defeats have come against teams in the top six. However, they have only won once at home since January, having also drawn two and lost two.
Meanwhile, West Ham United could jump a place in the standings if they can pull off their first away win since February. The Hammers have won just two of their last 13 Premier League matches and both of those wins came on home soil. Last time out, they were humbled 4-0 on home soil by a rampant Liverpool side.

Betting odds and tips
Burnley`s lack of wins on home soil in recent weeks does not look too surprising when examined closely. They were by no means disgraced in defeats to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United and picked up a well-deserved draw against Chelsea. A win against Stoke City and a draw against West Bromwich Albion completed a run of five home games that produced just five points. Prior to that, they won five home games on the trot.
The Clarets have performed well against lesser opposition at home and will be keen to give their home crowd a fitting send off this weekend. As a result, they have to be fancied against a team that has failed to win any of their last six away games.
