La Liga preview and odds: Granada vs Levante
April 21, 2016 21:00pm - Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes
La Liga
Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes will play host to a relegation battle on Thursday night as 17th-ranked Granada welcome 19th-ranked Levante to Andalucia in La Liga.
Granada on course for another dramatic finish
Granada`s four-game undefeated run came to an end last week when they were beaten 3-0 at Atletico Madrid. As a result, they will start this game just one point above the drop zone with five games left to play.
Prior to the defeat in Madrid, Jose Gonzalez`s men had drawn four games in a row, and had lost just once in their last seven fixtures. A win on Thursday would keep them clear from danger for at least another week but the prospect of a repeat of last year`s final day drama still looms for Los NazarÃes.
Levante finding some form
After propping up the league table for much of the campaign, Levante have suddenly found some much-needed form. The Valencian club have picked up eight points form their last six games, and have lifted themselves off the foot of the table to within touching distance of safety. A win on Thursday would see them leapfrog their opponents.
Les Granotes come into this game on the back of a 2-1 win over 15th-ranked Espanyol. Away from home, they have just one victory to their name this season.
Team news
On the injury front, Youssef El-Arabi, Diego Mainz and Javi Marquez will all be missing for the home side.
Meanwhile, the visitors will have to make do without the services of Ivan Lopez and Tono.
