French Open preview and odds: Novak Djokovic vs Yen-Hsun Lu
May 22, 2016 TBC - Roland Garros
Novak Djokovic will continue his quest to land a first French Open crown when he goes up against World No. 100 Yen-Hsun Lu at Roland Garros next week.
Djokovic looking for first French Open crown
Having already retained his Australian Open title earlier this year, Novak Djokovic will now go in search of his first ever French Open crown when he takes on the veteran Taiwanese player Yen-Hsun Lu at Roland Garros next week.
The Serbian lost his very first match of the year on clay in when he was defeated by Jiri Vesely in Monte Carlo. Following that setback, he won his next nine clay-court matches in a row before falling to Andy Murray in the final of the Rome Masters last week.
The three-time finalist will be making his 11th appearance at the only Grand Slam event that has eluded him throughout his illustrious career.
His opponent, Yen-Hsun Lu, has only made it past the first round at this tournament on one previous occasion and has never won an ATP tour title - although he has enjoyed plenty of success on the challenger tour.
The highlight of Lu`s career was a Quarter-final appearance at Wimbledon back in 2010 after which he shot up to No. 33 in the world. In last year`s edition of this event, he was beaten in the second round over four sets by Keven Anderson.
