La Liga preview and odds: Las Palmas vs Espanyol
April 22, 2016 21:00pm - Estadio de Gran Canaria
La Liga
Las Palmas will have a chance to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at Real Betis, when they welcome relegation flirts Espanyol to the Canary Islands in Friday night La Liga game.
One defeat in last five for Las Palmas
Las Palmas` four-game unbeaten run came to an end earlier in the week when they were narrowly beaten 1-0 away to Real Betis.
With 40 points already on the board, Quique Setien`s men appear to be safe but a win on Friday could make it official. The former Lugo boss has done a great job since arriving at the club back in November and looks to have achieved his brief of keeping them in the top flight.
Espanyol still not clear of danger
Espanyol have flirted with the relegation positions all season and with four games left to play their safety is still not certain. The team from Barcelona are just seven points clear of the drop zone and could do with a win to ease the pressure.
In their last game, Constantin Galca`s men held a determined Celta de Vigo side to a 1-1 draw on home soil, and prior to that, they were beaten 2-1 away to struggling Levante. They have won just one of their last 13 away games.
Team news
Aythami Artiles is suspended for the home side who will also have to cope without the injured group of Jonathan Viera, Roque Mesa, Wakaso Mubarak and Javi Castellano.
Meanwhile, Arbilla will be out of action for the visitors.

Betting odds and tips
Las Palmas have been playing more like a top-10 side in recent weeks and can be expected to prevail against a team that has found away wins hard to come by.
