Watford have picked up just one point from the last 15 available and are still not mathematically safe in the relegation battle. This weekend, they welcome a Crystal Palace side also fighting to retain their top-flight status for another year.

With the exception of a recent 1-1 draw against Bournemouth, it has been a torrid period for Watford, who enjoyed a positive start to life under Javi Gracia but have since suffered a dip in form. However, they have scored in their last 12 matches at home. The problem has been at the other end where they have conceded an average of 1.76 goals per home game this term. Despite their woes, they are still sitting in 12th place in the table eight points clear of danger. A win this weekend would almost certainly see them safe.

The Hertfordshire lost their last six games at the end of the end of last season, so maybe there is an issue with players starting to unwind for their holidays a little early.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are also chasing the points that would put them mathematically safe from relegation. Roy Hodgson`s me are just five points ahead of Southampton and things could get a little tense if they lose this weekend.

The good news is that they have lost just one of their last four matches and have a fit Wilfried Zaha to drive the team on. The former Manchester United man has scored in the last two League matches and will look to score in three consecutive Premier League matches for the first time.

The Eagles have been decent going forward but a little shaky at the back, having conceded 54 goals this term. However, their record against clubs around them is good with no defeats in 12 meetings against bottom half teams.
