At first glance, Happy Like A Fool looks like the obvious choice for this 5f fillies race. She won over half-a-furlong less on her debut and comes from a stable that has triumphed in the last two renewals of this event. Both of her career performances so far have offered reasons to suggest that she can follow in the hoof steps of fellow Wesley Ward-trained horses Acapulco and Lady Aurelia. She comes with a glowing report card and should prevail if she can live up to her early promise.

Heartache is unexposed and has strong credentials, coming from a yard whose youngsters are performing well, while Oasis Dream filly, Mrs Gallagher, already has a course and distance win in the bag (Godfrey Tabiner British EBF Maiden Fillies Stakes) and should go well on this ground. In fact, she could be the value bet amongst the front runners.
