Premier League preview and odds: Liverpool vs Leicester City
December 26, 2015 15:00pm - Anfield
Premier League
Liverpool are winless in three Barclays Premier League matches and must now face league leaders Leicester City at Anfield on Boxing Day.
Reds looking vulnerable
Liverpool are without a win in their last three Premier League games and have won just one of their last four on home soil. Elements of the fragile mentality that became apparent towards the end of Brendan Rodgers reign have resurfaced in recent weeks, and will be a concern for Jurgen Klopp.
In their last match, they conceded early against Watford and seemed to crumble from that point on. Despite some improvement at the beginning of the second half, the players looked resigned to defeat well before the third Watford goal went in. The Reds now face the tough task of bouncing back against the leagues top performers.
Leicester taking one game at a time
Leicester City are in the title race whether they want to admit it or not. With nearly half the season gone, they will go into the Christmas period with at least a two point gap at the top of the Premier League table (depending on the result of the Arsenal vs Man City game).
Incredibly, the Foxes are unbeaten in 10 matches, having won eight and drawn the other two. Rather than fade away as expected, their form has actually improved at the season has gone on. They remain the only club to have only suffered just one defeat in the league and will travel to Anfield with an unbeaten away record.
The East Midlands club have scored three goals in each of their last four away games, winning all of them. In addition, they have netted two or more goals in eight of their nine away fixtures this term.
Team news
The home side could welcome back Simon Mignolet, while Daniel Sturridge remains a doubt. In the treatment room, Martin Skrtel has joined the list of casualities that already includes James Milner, Dejan Lovren, Jordan Rossiter, Danny Ings, Joe Gomez and Jon Flanagan.
The visitors will be without Matt James but everyone else should be available.

Betting odds and tips
Leicester are a force to be reckoned with but Liverpool have been at their best against the top teams this season, having beaten Manchester City and drawn away to Arsenal and Tottenham. The draw looks good value at 11/4 with Bet365.
Liverpool have scored in all but one of their home games, while Leicester have score in every away match this season. You can back Both Teams to Score at 4/7 with Bet365.
Riyad Mahrez has already bagged six goals in December and can be backed at 5/2 to net anytime, also with Bet365.
