Liverpool will look to extend their unbeaten run when they visit in-form Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday. A win for the Reds would keep the pressure on chasing Manchester City who play Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp`s men will arrive on a high after defeating old foes Manchester United last weekend, a game which ultimately sealed the fate of Jose Mourinho who sacked two days later. The Anfield club recorded 36 shots on goal during the game, the most United had faced since the collection of data began in 2003.

Liverpool have scored three more goals than at the same stage last season, but have conceded 13 less leaving them top of the table with 45 points, a club record in the Premier League.

Away from home, the Reds have netted 10 goals in their last three matches and have not been beaten since a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea back in May.

Meanwhile, Wolves can leapfrog Manchester United into sixth place by becoming the first team to beat Liverpool in the league this term. They come into this match on the back of three straight wins which included a home victory against Chelsea.

Nuno Espiritu`s men on in the hunt to earn the best-of-the-rest crown despite having only been promoted to the top flight this year. As well as beating Chelsea on home soil, they also earned a draw against Manchester City. However, Watford, Tottenham Hotspur and Huddersfield Town have all come away from Molineux with three points this term.

Betting odds and tips

Liverpool have been a different beast this season a little less exciting to watch, but far more efficient in getting the job done. They have the best defence in the division and the second best attacking record. As things stand they look set to battle it out with Manchester City for the title.

Worryingly for Wolves the Reds` form seems to have gone up a notch in the last few weeks with big wins against Everton, Napoli and Manchester United. Despite the home side own winning run, it is hard to imagine them holding off Klopp`s men and the away win looks the most likely outcome here.
