Premier League
Arsenal will be looking for their fourth straight win in the Premier League when they welcome Everton to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.
Gunners on a roll
Arsenal are in a good place right now - they followed three straight wins in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Pep Guardiolas Bayern Munich in the midweek Champions League group match, and will go into this weekends game against Everton full of confidence.
In their last three league games they`ve scored eleven goals and conceded just two, leaving them second place in the table just two points behind pace-setters Manchester City.
The Gunners recent good form will be bring welcome relief to boss Arsene Wenger who was heavily criticised in many quarters for failing to bring in a striker during the summer transfer window. The Frenchman`s decision to stick with his current players now seems to be paying off with Alexis Sanchez in particular grabbing the plaudits for his dazzling displays.
Everton sunk last time out
Things have not been quite so rosy for Everton who have managed just one win in their last four league matches. Most recently, they followed up a draw at home to derby foes Liverpool with a home defeat to northwest rivals Manchester United.
That loss left them tied on points with Liverpool and Southampton with a 13-point tally. Despite their mid-table habitat, the Toffees have only lost two games all season. However, they only have three wins to their name having shared the points on four occasions.
Team news
Aaron Ramsey has joined a list of familiar names in the North London treatment room that includes Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck.
Meanwhile, Everton are hoping that Tom Cleverly can recover in time for the trip to London although at the current time that seems doubtful. Muhamed Besic is missing with a hamstring injury along with long-term absentees Leighton Baines, Tony Hibbert and Steven Pienaar.
