Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Liverpool - Premier League Preview and Odds
January 23, 2020 20:00pm - Molineux Stadium (Wolverhampton)
Premier League
Liverpool can move a step close to Premier League glory when they pay a visit to top-four hopefuls Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday night.
The Reds have a 13 point lead and two games in hand on reigning champions Manchester City. It would now take a remarkable turn of events to stop the Anfield club from claiming their first league title in 30 years. Next stop for the unstoppable red juggernaut is Wolves.
Jurgen Klopps men arrive in the West Midlands on a high after beating their arch rivals Manchester United to make it 39 games unbeaten in the league. They have now won 13 games in a row since drawing at Old Trafford and they have kept seven clean sheets in a row.
This is the first of six away matches that the Reds have scheduled in all competitions over the next five weeks with just two home games to look forward to.
When the two teams met at Anfield back in December, the Reds edged to a 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Sadio Mane. If that game was anything to go by, they could face a tough time on Thursday night but Wolves have been notoriously inconsistent this term.
In fact, Nunos men have won just one of their last four games, a 3-2 win at Southampton last weekend. Despite this, Wolves can go fifth with a win on Thursday and move to within three points of fourth-ranked Chelsea. But with just four points separating fifth and 14th, things can change quickly in the mid-table positions.
Predicted line-ups:
Wolves: Patricio, Doherty, Saiss, Coady, Dendoncker, Jonny, Moutinho, Neves, Neto, Jimenez, Traore
Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane

Betting odds and tips
It takes a brave person to bet against Liverpool these days and Thursday is no exception. The Reds have won their last three against Wolves without conceding a goal making the 8/11 price for the away win look good value. You can boost that to 19/10 b y adding another clean sheet into the equation.
You can back Liverpool to Win at 8/11 or Liverpool to Win to Nil at 19/10.
