Arsenal vs Manchester City - FA Cup Semi-final preview and odds
April 23, 2016 15:00pm - Wembley Stadium
FA Cup
The second of this weekend`s FA Cup features two teams who will both be looking for silverware to add some gloss to their disappointing Premier League campaigns.
Wenger looking to placate discontented fans with trophy win
With a top four finish looking increasingly less likely, under-fire Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be keen to bag a trophy to give the fans something to celebrate this season. Arsenal`s recent performances in Europe have not been great so a year out of the competition might actually do them some good in terms of trying to mount a serious title challenge next year.
The Gunners have won just three of their last eight matches in the league and have had a fairly easy route to this semi-final, Southampton being the only top-flight side they have played so far. The only goal they have conceded in the competition came against Preston North End in the Third Round.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola`s team are just two points adrift from their total point`s tally from last season and are still in with a chance of finishing in the top four. However, their season may still be seen as a disappointment for some, including the club`s owners, who may have expected bigger things from the Spanish Coach during his first campaign in England.
City beat and drew against the Londoners in their two league meetings this term and will start this game as favourites.
Team news
Shkodran Mustafi (thight), David Ospina (back), Lucas Perez (thigh) and Santi Cazorla (Achilles) are all injured for the Gunners, while Danny Welbeck has a toe problem and remains a doubt.
Meanwhile, John Stones (knock), Gabriel Jesus (metatarsal fracture) and Ilkay Gundogan (knee) are all injured for the Sy Blues, while Bacary Sagna (groin) could also miss out.

Manchester City: WWLDD
Betting odds and tips
City will be short-priced but the London venue could favour the Gunners. As a result, the Arsenal/Draw Double chance looks good value at Evens.
