Liverpool vs Crystal Palace - Premier League preview and odds
April 23, 2017 16:30pm - Anfield
Premier League
Liverpool will look to keep their top four quest on track when they host relegations battlers Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Reds top four destiny still in their own hands
With just five games left to play, Liverpool are in with a great chance of securing Champions League football for the first time since 2014. The Reds already have six more points than they secured in the whole of last season when they finished in a disappointing eighth place.
Jurgen Klopp`s men are unbeaten in their last seven league matches, having won five and drawn two, and have lost just one of their last 23 on home soil. A win on Sunday would move them to within two points of second-ranked Tottenham Hotspur, although the London club will have two games in hand.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are still involved in a relegation battle with just four points separating them from the drop zone. However, they do have the best goal difference of any side in the bottom half of the table.
Last time out, Sam Allardyce`s men grabbed a point at home to reigning champions Leicester City after playing out a 2-2 draw, Prior that that, they strolled to a 3-0 win at home to Arsenal. Their last away game resulted in a 3-1 defeat at Southampton.
Team news
The home side have plenty of injury concerns with Ragnar Klavan (knee), Sadio Mane (knee), Adam Lallana (thigh), Jordan Henderson (foot), Oviemuno Ejaria (ankle sprain) and Danny Ings (meniscus tear) all out of action, while Joel Matip (muscular) and Lucas Leiva (muscular) are both doubtful.
Meanwhile, the Eagles will have to make do without Scott Dann (knee), Connor Wickham (knee ligament) and Pape Souare (surgery), while Mamadou Sakho is unable to face his parent club.

Betting odds and tips
Liverpool are undefeated in their last seven matches and have scored at least once in each of their last nine. What`s more, they have found the net in all but one of their home matches including their last 13 in a row.
Crystal Palace have scored in each of their last seven matches and have won three of their last five matches on the road.
Injuries could play a part with the hosts short in the defensive areas, while Palace`s backline will also be hindered by the absence of Mamadou Sakho. As a result, both teams can be expected to get on the score sheet.
