Premier League
Arsenal will look to bounce back from back-to-back Premier League defeats when they host eighth-ranked West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates Stadium on Monday.
Gunners stumble in title trace
Just as it seemed that they were poised to mount another title challenge, Arsenal have slipped up again. After rising to second place in the table, consecutive defeats away to Everton and Manchester City, have left the Gunners languishing in fourth place, nine points behind pace-setters Chelsea.
Despite their slip-up, Arsene Wenger`s men are still unbeaten in their last seven matches on home soil, their only defeat coming on the opening day against Liverpool. In their most recent home match, they eased to a 3-1 win over Stoke city. The North Londoners have scored and conceded at least one goal in each of their last eight matches.
Meanwhile, West Brom`s run of three-straight home wins was brought to an end by Manchester United last weekend. Despite that defeat, the Baggies are still well positioned in eighth place in the table. Away from home they have won two, drawn three and lost three.
With the top six already pulling away, Tony Pulis` men look all set to be invloved in a battle to be the best-of-the-rest in the Premier League.
Team news
The home side will have to make do wothout the injured group of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (hamstring), Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring), Mathieu Debuchy (hamstring), Santi Cazorla (Achilles), Chuba Akpom (back), Per Mertesecker (knee) and Danny Welbeck (meniscus), while Aaron Ramsey remains a doubt.
Meanwhile, Saido Berahino is still not fit for the visitors, while Jonny Evans is also a doubt.
