With Arsenal`s quest for place in the top four is looking increasingly futile, they must now turn their attention to the cup competitions. They still have a possible route to the Champions League via the Europa Cup but first they must take on runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

If Arsene Wengers men can replicate Manchester United`s achievements form last season and secure a League Cup and Europa League double, it would certainly appease some of the voices of discontent in North London. Standing in their way is one of the strongest teams in Europe.

With both teams expected to take an attacking approach to this game, we could be in for a thriller. Arsenal`s triumvirate of Aubameyang, Ozil and Mkhitaryan will be tasked with bothering the City back line as they look to extend their 11-game scoring streak against the Manchester club.

Meanwhile, City must be content with aiming for the treble after getting unceremoniously dumped out of the FA Cup by Wigan Athletic last week much to the delight of the neutrals watching the game. That game was freakish in nature with Wigan scoring with their only chance of note after City had wasted countless chances to take the lead.

Pep Guardiola has yet to win a trophy in England, a statistic that he will be keen to rectify on Sunday. However, his side have only won two of their last 11 meetings against the Londoners, the last coming via a 3-1 Premier League triumph back in December.

Betting odds and tips

Both teams have scored in each of their last six meetings between the two and all of those games also produced more than 2.5 goals - although last year`s FA Cup match was still 1-1 heading into extra time. With so much firepower on the display, we can expect goals at both ends once again and that looks like the choice bet here, with Over 2.5 Goals also worth considering.
